The LFEX Norwegian Exporters Index for Week 20 2025 ended the week UP +3.67 NOK / +4.99% to stand at 77.17 NOK (in EUR terms 6.61 / +0.33 / +5.17%) FCA Oslo Week ending Thursday vs previous Thursday.

The NOK rate ended DOWN at 11.67 to the Euro over the period Thursday to Thursday. The Fish Pool Euronext future June was reported DOWN Thursday to Thursday -0.20 / -3.03% at 6.40 EUR, approximately 74.69 NOK.

The Last Week

Another more stable week post Barcelona as prices improved across the week. Early sentiment kicked off the index week 1.5% higher at 74.64 offered. No one was really sure which way prices might head, although no major movements were expected. This was reflected in a relatively flat Monday and Tuesday at 75.03 and 75.2 respectively. The bulls just edged it at the end of the week finding a further 1 NOK per day Wednesday and Thursday to end the week at 77.17, a rise of 5% from the previous week close.

Spreads remain compressed with nothing in it between 4/5s and 5/6’s and 3/4s around 1 NOK lower.

Next Week

Indications this week see the index opening around 74.5 NOK as offered prices come down from the end of last week. The story for next week is algae and up to 1.5m dead salmon in the north of Norway. Pricing is volatile at the moment, with the general feeling for softer prices as the week progresses.

EUR NOK FX rate is off 0.05 at 11.60 this afternoon. This would give an indicative Euro index price around 6.42 on levels later Friday.

Volumes – Fresh Export

Volume figure for week 19 (2025) was 18,073 tons up 7,456 as compared to 10,617 in 2024 and increase of 70% over the previous year. Volumes for week 20 and week 21 (2024) were 11,698 and 12,567 respectively for comparison.

Historical Price Guidance for Next Week

The LFEX Norwegian Exporters Index for Week 21 2024 ended the week down -6.44%, -8.23 NOK to stand at 119.51 NOK (in EUR terms 10.37 FCA Oslo. 0The NOK rate ended down at 11.52. The Fish Pool future May was reported down – 1.00, -0.79% at 125.50 NOK.
