The LFEX Norwegian Exporters Index for Week 26 2025 ended the week UP +3.75 NOK / +5.72% to stand at 69.30 NOK (in EUR terms 5.87 / +0.20 / +3.48%) FCA Oslo Week ending Thursday vs previous Thursday.

The NOK rate ended UP at 11.80 (+0.25 / +2.16%) to the Euro over the period Thursday to Thursday. The Fish Pool Euronext future July was reported DOWN Thursday to Thursday -0.10 / -1.60% at 6.15 EUR, approximately 72.57 NOK with August showing 5.90.

The Last Week

Poor sentiment off the back of heavy volumes at the start of the week lead the market to open lower at 64.72 NOK or 1.27% softer than the Thursday close. However, the market found its feet and level on Monday up small at 65.14, and Tuesday similar. Perhaps counter to the sentiment of Friday, Wednesday saw an uptick in prices to 67.93 and the offered index closed out the week on a high at 69.30 and a bottom to top intraweek increase of 7% or 4.5 NOK. FX rate opened up at 11.59 and was one way traffic all week closing out at the high of 11.80. Spreads stayed around the 4 NOK between 3-6s.

Next Week

Indications this week see the index opening around the 68.9 NOK level which is flat / down marginally from Thursday index level. No great explanation for these levels currently, although there has been a 2% variance attributable to currency movements. EUR NOK FX rate is flat from yesterday at 11.80 this afternoon although has peaked at 11.82. This would give an indicative Euro index price around 5.83 on offered levels later Friday.

Volumes – Fresh Export

Volume figure for week 25 (2025) was 22,332 tons up 4,207 as compared to 18,125 in 2024 and a 20% jump on the prior week 24. Volumes for week 26 and week 27 (2024) were 17,377 and 19,201 respectively for comparison.

Historical Price Guidance for Next Week

The LFEX Norwegian Exporters Index for Week 27 2024 ended the week down -2.27%, -1.70 NOK to stand at 73.24 NOK (in EUR terms 6.42 / – 0.15 / -2.35%) FCA Oslo. The NOK rate ended at 11.40. The Fish Pool future July was reported down – 3.35, -4.01% at 80.15 NOK
